ABOUT YOUR TUITION SOLUTION LOANS

  • How does Your Tuition Solution differ from other education loans?

With Your Tuition Solution, tutoring can be financed right in the enrollment conference! No photo ID or proof of income are required, so approved loans are finalized instantly and payment is swift, in 24-48 business hours, with no paperwork delays. Your Tuition Solution has low fixed rates, no supplement fee, and a one page note form so payment discussions are simpler, increasing enrollments.

  • Should I offer two financing providers so I can give my families a choice?

In a word, no. The simplicity benefit of Your Tuition Solution is lost if the variable rate SLM program is presented at the same time. A confused family is less apt to enroll and the focus should be on tutoring, not deciphering payment options.

  • Should I encourage families to apply to more than one financing company?

Applying for more than one program can negatively impact an applicant’s credit score since two separate inquiries for credit are placed on that person’s credit history. New inquiries (within the past 6 months) are factors in determining one’s credit score and the more inquiries, the greater the negative impact.

  • Should I offer Your Tuition Solution to a family that does not get approved by another financing company?

Your Tuition Solution is a "first look" program and does not routinely accept applications that have already been denied by another loan program. In most cases, applicants denied by another program will also be denied by Your Tuition Solution and placing multiple applications can be especially harmful for a family that already has a low credit score.

  • How do I provide families with information about the program?

You will receive a variety of materials to help present the program, including brochures, brochure holders, and payment charts. We also have scripting suggestions to help present payment options more effectively.

ABOUT WORKING WITH US

  • How will I know if a family chooses this option?

Most applications are decisioned in five minutes or less. Application status appears instantly on your online Education Center webpage at the click of your refresh button. Your Tuition Solution will also notify you of approved applications immediately via email. Or you can call to inquire about application status.

  • What is the "Education Center"?

The Education Center is your home base for Your Tuition Solution. It contains everything you need, from the online application to the Applicant Dashboard that displays the status of each application you have placed with us. In addition, you can use the payment calculator, access online tools, and order new materials.

  • What do I do if the fee changes before the agreement is signed and faxed?

You can revise the loan amount in the Education Center by entering the new amount in the "revise to" box and clicking on the "go" button. (You can also call us and we can make the adjustment.) When you enter a revised amount that is greater than the original amount, the loan gets "redecisioned", and you will see the status of this new decision in the Loan Status column. As soon as the revised amount is approved, you can print the applicant’s revised loan document through the Education Center.

  • How do I print my family’s loan documents?

Loan documents can be conveniently printed in the Education Center. The document status column will indicate when loan documents are ready to print. Once the document has been printed, the "print" status changes to "reprint". This is helpful to remind you that you or someone else at the center has completed this step.

  • How will I know if a family has applied and if s/he has been approved or denied?

The Education Center is your fastest source for application status information. When you log in, you will see the Center Home page, which features the Applicant Dashboard indicating status and next steps for each application. In addition, you will receive email notification of application status.

  • How will I know if you have received a family’s signed loan documents?

The Education Center will indicate, in the document status column, that loan documents have been received by displaying a check mark with the word "received." If there is any problem with the documents we received, you will see a telephone icon with the words "please call." You will also receive email notification that documents were received and whether there was any problem.

  • What does a "Processing" status mean?

Occasionally we may need a few extra minutes to process an application. If this happens, the purple Processing icon appears. You can expect a decision to be made be within minutes — usually just a few but occasionally up to 15 minutes as we use every available resource to try to approve the applicant.

  • What does a "Pending" status mean?

An application in the yellow Pending status means we need additional information from the applicant in order to process the application. The specific information needs can be found by clicking "why" next to the status icon.

  • Can I see the details of each application my center has placed in the Education Center?

Yes! The summary details are available on the Applicant Dashboard, and the application specifics are available by clicking on the applicant’s name, which takes you to the Application Overview screen. The Application Overview screen contains the application status, amount, APR, term, monthly payment, as well as any disbursement data.

  • How often is the Education Center data updated?

The Education Center data is updated real time — so as soon as we know it, you know it!

  • How much staff time is required to implement the program?

Very little time is required. Most Centers like to help families apply online from the Center, although families can apply from home. Once the family is approved, you log into our secure website, confirm the loan amount with a mouse click, and print the one-page loan document. Once it is signed, fax it back to Your Tuition Solution. It’s that easy!

  • Do I need any special software to use Your Tuition Solution?

No special software is required. Just a computer with access to the Internet and email plus Adobe Reader, a free program which is already installed on most computers. You can obtain a free download of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com. It’s a 5 minute process and we can walk you through it if you’d like.

  • I just installed Adobe 8.0, why can’t I print?

No special software is required. Just a computer with access to the Internet and email plus Adobe Reader, a free program which is already installed on most computers. You can obtain a free download of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com. It’s a 5 minute process and we can walk you through it if you’d like.

  • How do I prevent e-mail from going into a "bulk/spam/junk mail" folder?

Many e-mail programs have built-in filters that may blocks messages from senders whose e-mail address is not in the recipient’s address book or Safe Sender list. To ensure that Your Tuition Solution messages arrive in your INBOX safely, please add info@springstoneplan.com to your e-mail address book or Safe Sender list.

ABOUT RECEIVING PAYMENT
